Fie \( f:[0,1]\to\mathbb{R} \) o functie derivabila cu derivata continua pe \( [0,1] \) astfel incat exista \( x_{0}\in [0,1] \) cu \( f(x_{0})=0 \). Sa se demonstreze ca

\( \int_0^1f^{2}(x)dx\leq 4\left(\int_0^1(f^{\prime}(x))^{2}dx\right). \)

Fie \( a \) punctul in care \( f(a)=0 \).

Atunci se obtine:

\( \int_{0}^{1}f^{2}\leq \frac{a^2}{2}\int_{0}^{a} (D(f))^2 + \frac{(1-a)^2}{2}\int_{a}^{1}(D(f))^2 \),

unde \( D(f) \) este derivata lui \( f \).
