Relatii uzuale intr-un patrulater \( ABCD \) inscris in cercul \( w \) .

Notam : \( AB=a \) , \( BC=b \) , \( CD=c \) , \( DA=d \) , \( AC=e \) ,

\( BD=f \) ; \( p_w(X) \) - puterea punctului \( X \) in raport cu cercul \( w \) ;

\( I\in AC\cap BD \) , \( E\in AB\cap CD \) , \( F\in AD\cap BC \) . Exista relatiile :

\( *\triangleright\ \frac {IA}{da}=\frac {IB}{ab}=\frac {IC}{bc}=\frac {ID}{cd}=\frac {e}{da+bc}=\frac {f}{ab+cd}=\sqrt {\frac {-p_w(I)}{abcd}} \) ;

\( *\triangleright\ \frac {EA}{de}=\frac {EB}{bf}=\frac {EC}{be}=\frac {ED}{fd}=\frac {a}{de-bf}=\frac {c}{df-be}=\sqrt {\frac {p_w(E)}{bdef}} \) ;

\( *\triangleright\ \frac {FA}{ae}=\frac {FB}{af}=\frac {FC}{ce}=\frac {FD}{cf}=\frac {b}{ce-af}=\frac {d}{cf-ae}=\sqrt {\frac {p_w(F)}{acef}} \) .

1) Din asemanarea trunghiurilor AIB si BIC rezulta \( \frac{IA}{IB}=\frac{ID}{IC}=\frac{d}{b} \)

Analog din asemanarea tringhiurilor AIB si CID \( \frac{IA}{ID}=\frac{IB}{IC}=\frac{a}{c} \)

Asadar din relatiile de mai sus, proprietatile sirului de rapoarte egale(\( \frac{IA}{da}=\frac{IC}{bc}=\frac{IA+IC}{da+bc}=\frac{e}{da+bc} \)), si formula puterii punctului I fata de \( \omega \) (\( p_\omega(I)=-AI\cdot IC \)), rezulta concluzia.
